Mumbai Indians clinched their second win of the season in the sixth match against Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Sunday.
Chasing a target of 206 runs, Delhi Capitals were bundled out for 193 runs with Mumbai Indians’ Karn Sharma returning figures of 3/36.
Delhi Capitals Karun Nair showed some resilience for the side by scoring 89 runs off 40 deliveries, including 12 boundaries and five sixes. But his knock went in-vain as the five-time champions clinched victory by 12 runs.
After the match, Delhi Capitals was caught stunning IPL 2025 commentator Deep Dasgupta through his witty response in a post match interview.
“We had the game in the bag. Some soft dismissals and bad shots in the middle order. You can’t leave it to the batters in the lower order everytime. Don’t need to overthink, just one of those days,” the Nadiad native further said.
“Was happy at the halfway stage. The ball was stopping initially but it got better. And then dew helped us further. Out of our three spinners, two can bowl in powerplay and death as well. Kuldeep is bowling unbelievably well. Need to forget this game from a batting point of view.:
Delhi Capitals were handed their first loss of the season. The capital franchise are currently at the second spot with four wins from five matches.
The Axar Patel-led side will next take on Rajasthan Royals on April 16.
