Digvesh Rathi is becoming synonymous to the notebook celebration for which he was fined twice in the IPL 2025.

He is a cool, calm, and composed character who likes to show his aggression with the ball and celebration, which is indirectly is equivalent to sending-off the opponent back to dressing room.

Rathi returned figures of 1/21 for Lucknow Super Giants against Mumbai Indians on Friday. He had an economy rate of 5.20, where all the other LSG bowlers went for more than 10 runs per over.

“I’m really enjoying it. I like to get batters out. I watched Sunil Narine bowl and from that time I took to bowling. I want to make my mindset more attacking, want to be like Narine, on how he stays calm even during pressure situations,” Rathi, who was adjudged the man of the match, said.

“(on the Dhir wicket) Before that over, I spoke to you (Pant), we wanted a mid-wicket. But we did not have one, he looked to play through there and that move really worked for us,” he added,

While Rishabh Pant said, “He is one of our leading bowlers, the way he his holding his nerve and good to see a youngster perform like that.”

Rathi first caught limelight in the inaugural Delhi Premier League in 2024, where he displayed a brilliant performance for runners-up South Delhi Superstarz in the inaugural edition.

He was the trump card for captain Ayush Badoni, picking up 14 wickets in 10 matches with an economy rate just over 7.

He was bought by LSG in the mega auction before IPL 2025 at his base price of INR 30 lakh.
