India on Monday concluded the Archery World Cup 2025 Stage 1 in Auburndale, USA, with a total of four medals, including one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
Mexico topped the Archery World Cup 2025 Stage 1 with six (three gold, two silver and one bronze) medals.
The India men’s recurve team consisting Olympians Dhiraj Bommadevara, Tarundeep Rai and Atanu Das lost 1-5 to People’s Republic of China’s Wang Yan, Li Zhongyuan and Kao Wenchao in the final.
Chinese Taipei beat Spain 5-1 to accumulate the bronze in the men’s team recurve archery event.
India’s route to the final included wins over Spain 6-2 in the semi-finals, Indonesia 6-2 in the quarter-finals, and Brazil 6-2 in the first round.
Later, in the day, the mixed doubles pair of Dhiraj Bommadevara and Ankita Bhakat beat Spain’s Andres Temino 6-4 to win the bronze medal in style.
