2025 Badminton Asia Championships: Dhruv Kapila-Tanisha Crasto Face Visa Issue

India’s top mixed doubles pair Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto are stranded in India due to a visa issues.

In a post on X, Kapila notified the members of Chinese Embassy in India about their situation.

“My partner,Tanisha Crasto an Olympian currently ranked 18th in the world rankings has applied for a visa to China at the China Embassy in Delhi for the Badminton Asia Championships in Ningbo, China,” said in a post on X.

“Unfortunately, due to some holidays at the embassy, my passport is stuck there, and we have to leave for China this Saturday night (April 5th, 2025). I kindly request your urgent assistance in resolving this matter. We have a tight schedule and need to depart for China,” he added.

India’s top ranked mixed doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shettly along with men’s singles breakthrough star Lakshya Sen and double Olympic medalist PV Sindhu will lead the charge at Asian Championships Badminton 2025, Ningbo Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Ningbo, China, from April 8 to 13.

Sindhu, who was knocked out in the first round of the Swiss Open, will be eager to find her rhythm under the new coach.
