Suryansh Shedge is a 22-year-old Indian cricketer from Mumbai, known for his right-handed batting and right-arm medium-fast bowling.

He first gained attention in 2016 by scoring an unbeaten 326 off 137 balls in the Giles Shield tournament, marking one of the fastest triple centuries in the competition’s history.

In domestic cricket, Shedge has been a consistent performer for Mumbai. During the 2022 BCCI Men’s Under-25 State A Trophy, he scored 184 runs in eight matches and took 12 wickets. He was also part of Mumbai’s squad for the 2022-23 Ranji Trophy season and served as a replacement in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

n the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024, Shedge played a pivotal role in Mumbai’s championship run. In the final against Madhya Pradesh, he scored an unbeaten 36 off 15 balls, helping Mumbai secure the title.

Throughout the tournament, he amassed 131 runs at an average of 43.66 and a striking rate of 251.92, including 13 sixes, and also took eight wickets at an average of 23.

These performances led to his acquisition by Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 auction for ₹30 lakh.

Punjab Kings’ head coach, Ricky Ponting, has praised Shedge’s potential, noting his impressive training performances and versatility as a finisher and medium-pace bowler.

Shedge made his IPL debut for Punjab Kings against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 25, 2025. His journey from domestic cricket to the IPL highlights his talent and the high expectations for his future contributions to the team.
