Teenaged sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Patna airport on Friday.

The meeting comes days after Rajasthan Royals campaign — the team which Suryavanshi was a part of — came to an end at the bottom-half of the table.

In a video going viral on social media, Suryavanshi can be seen touching the PM’s feet while his father had a chat. The Indian PM also shared his best wishes for the young Indian sensation.

“At Patna airport, met the young cricketing sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his family. His cricketing skills are being admired all over the nation! My best wishes to him for his future endeavours,” Modi wrote on X.

In the 2025 season, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi emerged as a standout performer for the Rajasthan Royals.

Over seven matches, he amassed a total of 252 runs, boasting an impressive average of 36.00 and a striking strike rate of 206.55—the highest in the tournament that year.

Suryavanshi’s most remarkable innings came against the Gujarat Titans, where he scored a blistering 101 runs off just 38 balls.

This innings included 11 sixes and 7 fours, making him the youngest player to score a century in IPL history at 14 years and 32 days old. He achieved this feat in just 35 balls, marking the second-fastest century in the league’s history.
