A fresh new video of ‘injured Sanju Samson’ ignoring the Rajasthan Royals (RR) huddle ahead of the Super Over against Delhi Capitals on Wednesday has sparked rift rumours among the team.

The incident took place after both the teams were tied at 188 in the stipulated 20 overs with the Rajasthan franchise picking up Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag for the Super Over.

In the video, the RR captain can be seen walking past the dug out with no discussion about the team tactics for the Super Over. The franchise’s senior management Rahul Dravid and Sairaj Bahutule in a team huddle ahead of the Super Over.

Incidentally, Samson was retired hurt on 31 off 19 deliveries after injuring his back. He called the team physio after feeling the slight niggle before deciding to walk off the field.

In a post match interview, Samson said: “It feels alright (His injury). I wasn’t just ready to come back and bat. It feels alright now. We will observe it tomorrow and see how it is. We bowled really well. There were phases when they came hard at us. I would like to give credit to our bowlers and fielders.

“The energy on the ground was fantastic. I thought that score was chaseable given the batting lineup which we had. The start which we got in the powerplay, I felt it was definitely a chaseable score,” the Kerala wicketkeeper batter added.
