The Maharana Pratap Sports College in Raipur, Uttarakhand, will host at least 14 events at the 38th National Games, which are scheduled to run from January 28 to February 14.
The college and sports academy offers the facility to train in six sports, Athletics, Football, Volleyball, Boxing, Cricket, and Field hockey.
The complex is an answer to India’s lack of sporting facilities criticism with the track & field venue having the capacity to host Olympic events like javelin throw, shot put, and discus.
Earlier, this week, a high-level meeting was successfully organized today to finalize preparations for the 38th National Games.
The meeting was attended by key members of the Chef de Mission, the Sports Technical Conduct Committee, and the National Games Organizing Committee.
The primary focus of the meeting was to review the progress of preparations at the sports venues, player accommodations, logistical arrangements, and the event schedule.
Detailed discussions were held to ensure the smooth conduct of the games, with special emphasis on maintaining facilities and technical execution in line with international standards.
“Our priority is to provide an excellent experience for athletes, officials, and spectators,” highlighting the importance of coordination among all committees, the Chef de Mission stated,
The Sports Technical Conduct Committee shared updates on the technical requirements and compliance with national regulations related to the games.
The 38th National Games will witness participation from athletes across the country in various sporting disciplines, showcasing the best of Indian sports talent.
