Former England captain Kevin Pietersen returned to the Delhi Capitals dug out after a two-week break in Maldives.
And the IPL franchise were in no mood to let Pietersen forget about that.
In a video posted by Delhi Capitals, Pietersen can be seen meeting and greeting Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill. The duo started engaging in a conversation when Pietersen asked, “Bro, what’s a mentor? No one knows what a mentor is. Can you tell me what a mentor is?”
To this KL Rahul was quick to pounce and say, “A mentor is someone who goes to the Maldives for two weeks mid-season.”

The duo later engaged in a birthday celebration where Pietersen ensured that Rahul has enough cake on his face.
Delhi Capitals are currently at the top of the table with five wins from six matches while Gujarat Titans are third with four wins in as many matches.
Delhi Capitals will consolidate their place if they win the upcoming match while Gujarat Titans have a chance to move to the top spot.
