The world’s best badminton players will descend in Xiamen for the world mixed team championships, the Sudirman Cup, slated to run from April 27 to May 4.
Hosts China will defend their title in a strong field. Since the inception of Sudirman Cup, only three teams have won the title.
Indonesia and Republic of Korea are the other nations who have won the Sudirman Cup and would be eager to add to their tally in the 19th edition of the event.
These three team, along with Japan, are the top four seeded teams at the event.
