The Sadabai Raisoni Memorial Maharashtra State Women’s Badminton Tournament will run from March 7 to 9, at Subhedar Badminton Hall, RTMNU Campus, Ravi Nagar in Nagpur.
The event will be organized by the Nagpur District Badminton Association (NDBA) and the Maharashtra Badminton Association (MBA) to celebrate International Women’s Day.
The tournament includes various categories such as: Under-9, Under-13, Under-15, and Under-17; girls’ doubles for Under-13, Under-15, and Under-17; open women’s singles and doubles; and veterans’ singles and doubles.
The Sadabai Raisoni Memorial Maharashtra State Women’s Badminton Tournament has a whooping prize money of INR 5,40,000. It is the highest prize pool among the state-level badminton tournament.
Players will be allowed to register until March 3, 2025.
“This tournament provides a great opportunity for women athletes and offers the highest prize money at the state level,” said Mangesh Kashikar, MBA Senior Vice President and NDBA Secretary.
The event aims to encourage more women to participate in the event.
