Abhinav Bindra, India’s first Olympic gold medalist & founder of the Abhinav Bindra Foundation, will be one of the keynote speaker at the Rising Bharat Summit 2025.
The Rising Bharat Summit 2025, CNN-News 18’s flagship leadership conclave, will be held in New Delhi on April 8-9.
Bindra is currently involved in spreading the Olympic movement via tie-ups with Government school. In recognition to his work, he was awarded the Olympic Order, the highest honour bestowed by the IOC.
The 42-year-old developed an early passion for shooting, inspired by the athletes he saw on television. His sporting journey began at 15 when he represented India at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. At his Olympic debut in Sydney 2000, he was the youngest Indian participant.
Apart from the Olympic triumph, he has clinched multiple medals in at the Commonwealth and Asian Games, including a gold at the 2006 ISSF World Championships, making him the first Indian shooter to win a World Championship gold.
He is currently in his entrepreneurial journey. His foundation aims to advance sports science and promote excellence among Indian athletes. He was appointed an International Olympic Committee (IOC) Mental Health Ambassador in May 2023.
The Rising Bharat Summit 2025 will feature 75 power-packed sessions, over 100 visionary speakers, and two days of transformative conversations and breakthrough insights, according to CNN News 18.
Futuristic technology to politics, economic policies, innovation, entrepreneurship, and urbanization will be a part of the discussion.
