REC Limited Join Hands With THDC India To Develop Olympic-Sized Swimming Pool In Tehri

REC Limited, an Indian public sector company, on Saturday, joined hands with THDC India Limited to develop an Olympic-sized swimming pool at the THDCIL Water Sports High-Performance Academy of Canoeing & Kayaking in Koteshwar, Tehri, Uttarakhand.

The project will be developed under their Corporate Social Responsibility wing — REC Foundation and SEWA THDC — to enable the national athletes to refine their skills and prepare for international-level events in the domestic facility.

“In our latest endeavour, the REC Foundation has committed financial assistance of ₹3.97 crore to SEWA THDC for the development of an Olympic-size swimming pool,” REC Limited said in a statement.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed by Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director (CSR) – REC, and Amardeep, General Manager, THDCIL & President – SEWA THDC, in the presence of other officials Vivek Kumar Dewangan, CMD – REC, Harsh Baweja, Director (Finance) – REC and Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel) – THDCIL.

The initiative underscores REC’s unwavering commitment towards supporting nationally recognised sports in the country.
