The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) on Monday announced the schedule and sports for the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.
The continental youth games was moved to the Middle Eastern country after a discussion in the Executive Board meeting after the plan to originally host it in Tashkent, Uzbekistan did not materialise.
The first and second editions of the event was hosted in Singapore and China respectively.
In a circular to the OCA’s 45 National Olympic Committees, Director General Husain Al Musallam said the dates and the sports programme had been decided in coordination with the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
The events will run from October 22-31, 2025 with 21 sports/disciplines included:

3. Basketball (3×3)
4. Equestrian (Show Jumping + Endurance)
5. E-Sports
6. Futsal
7. Golf
8. Handball
9. Judo
10. Jujitsu
11. Mixed Martial Arts
12. Cycling (Road)
13. Swimming
14. Table Tennis
15. Taekwondo
16. Triathlon
17. Wrestling
18. Weightlifting
19. Kabaddi
20. Volleyball
21. Teqball
The governing body of Olympics in Asia will announce the detailed schedule in due course.
