Lacoste CEO Thierry Guibert has joined the bandwagon predicting Novak Djokovic’s future.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion recently registered a first-round exit in the Madrid Open which has fuelled the topic.

Guibert believes the Serbian ace will continue to play for at least three years, making significant contributions to the brand.

“Novak would like to continue playing at least until the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028,” Lacoste’s CEO Thierry Guibert said.

“We are discussing the renewal right now and I have no doubt that we will find a convenient agreement for both parties within a few weeks. Since this collaboration began, he has won half of his Grand Slam titles with us. He has made a significant contribution to the development of the brand in recent years,” he added.

Djokovic has not won a Grand Slam title since the 2023 US Open. The last big prize for the 37-year-old came at the Paris 2024 where he won the men’s singles gold medal. However, since then, he has struggled to find consistency.

In 2025, he reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open and also reached the Miami Open finals. But since then, he struggled to get past the first round in back-to-back tournaments, including the Madrid Open.

Rumors have also claimed his retirement, following the Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray path.
