Finland have named a 25-man squad for the Milano Cortina 2026, which will see the return of National Hockey League (NHL) players at the Winter Olympic Games.
However, Aleksander Barkov, has been ruled out of the squad owing to injury. Finland squad consists 24 NHL players out of the total 25. The other player is defenceman Mikko Lehtonen, who has NHL experience with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Columbus Blue Jackets in 2020–21. He is the only returning member of the Beijing 2022 gold-medal-winning team.
Amongst the Olympians — Eeli Tolvanen and Miro Heiskanen (PyeongChang 2018) and Olli Määttä and Mikael Granlund (Sochi 2014 bronze) — will return into action.
It also includes Dallas Stars’ players who won back to back Stanley Cup.
Milano Cortina 2026 will be the 19th Winter Olympic Games appearance for the team. They are defending champions from Beijing 2022, having won gold for the first time in Beijing; Finland have also won two silvers and four bronzes.
