Mikaela Shiffrin’s return to alpine skiing after recovering from an injury is set to take place at a night slalom event in Courchevel, France, on Thursday.

Her quest for a 100th World Cup victory will continue after the horrific crash in Killington, where she suffered an abdominal injury that required minor surgery.

Shiffrin told Skiracing.com that her return doesn’t mean she’s “100% recovered”. Her body still needs to build to manage the intensity of the race.

Earlier, the most successful alpine skier displayed first signs of return by moving and sweating in the gym following a surgery due to complications in her recovery procedure from an abdominal injury.

The Colorado native is currently placed at the 18th spot in overall rankings, ninth in the slalom after missing nine stops on the premier tour.
