Mauli Samvad, the Indian National Sports Vision Conclave, running on the sidelines of the ongoing National Games 2025 has drawn an unprecedented response from the sportspersons and those close associated to sports.
Murali Sreeshankar, the 2022 Asian Games silver medalist, hailed the platform discussion that ignited thoughts of a dual career in the Olympic long jump athlete.
A part of the event held at the Vandana Kataria Stadium, Haridwar focused on the discussions featuring experts from the world of sports, strength conditioning, and adventure sports.
2003 World Championships bronze medalist Anju Bobby George, Indian para shuttler Mansi Joshi, and former India women’s hockey captain Rani Rampal indulged in a panel discussion on ‘Breaking Barriers: Empowering Women In Sports’ while diverse sessions like ‘Image Matters: Crafting A Winning Persona For Athletes’ were held, allowing experts to share their insights, and the youth to learn from their thoughts.
Health issues around women athletes which are often considered as a taboo in the society were discussed.
The conclave brought together leading India athletes, administrators, and, entrepreneurs under one roof.
Fencer Bhavani Devi, weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga, and shooter Anjum Moudgil also associated with the event in the first-ever edition deriving its Indian-language name from Mauli, the vibrant mascot of the 38th National Games Uttarakhand 2025 inspired by the majestic Monal, the state bird.
The sports conclave will conclude on February 12, following thought-provoking sessions on policy-making, athlete welfare, peak athletic performance, gender, social equity, and more.
