The BWF Super 1000 tournament will be held at the Stadium Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur from Tuesday.
The season opener will mark a new start for Sindhu after the injury-hit season.
The World No.18 has not competed on the BWF World Tour since her quarter-final loss to the Paris 2024 Olympic champion An Se Young at China Masters in September.
Malvika Bansod and Unnati Hooda will be the other players in the women’s singles challenge.
Paris 2024 semi-finalists Lakshya Sen and Ayush Shetty will carry the hopes in men’s singles category, while Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy will spearhead India men’s doubles challenge.
