PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy will aim for better results at the Malaysia Masters 2025 badminton event, starting at the Stadium Axiata Arena KL Sports City in Bukit Jalil on Tuesday.
The double Olympic medalist will face Japan’s world No. 20 Natsuki Nidaira in the women’s singles opener. She had skipped the Taipei Open and Thailand Open earlier this month. Her best finish came at the quarter-finals in the India Open, earlier this year.
Prannoy, meanwhile, last competed at the Sudirman Cup, earlier this month. He is currently 35th in men’s singles rankings and will face off fifth-seed and world No. 12 Kenta Nishimoto of Japan.
Malvika Bansod and Unnati Hooda, who made it to the Taipei Open BWF Super 300 semi-finals earlier this month, are also a part of the women’s singles draw.
