Lindsey Vonn, the three-time Olympic medalist, crashed in the final section of her opening training run at the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup in Cortina d’Ampezz on Thursday.
The 40-year-old, who returned to a ‘perfect start’ in World Cup comeback after retirement to finish 14th in the Super-G in St. Moritz, Switzerland in December, was able to compose herself and ski to the bottom of the track afterwards.
The alpine skiing superstar said ‘all good’ after receiving medical treatment in the tent and left the finish area.
However, it remains to be seen if she competes in the downhill on Saturday and the super G on Sunday.
She is known for her considerable success at the Olympia delle Tofane course, winning on 12 occasions.
The United States veteran finished sixth at the St Anton, last week while making her downhill comeback. She topped it up with a fourth-place finish in the Super G one day later.
