The Khelo India Youth Games 2025 will run in five cities of Bihar — Patna, Rajgir, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Begusarai — from May 4 to 15. New Delhi will host shooting, gymnastics, and track cycling events.
The seventh edition of India’s flagship event, the Khelo India Youth Games, will bring together a total of 10,000 participants with athletes and volunteers from 28 states and 8 union territories.
A total of 28 sports, including Olympic, Non-Olympic, and Indigenous disciplines will be competed. Meanwhile, Esports has been included as a demonstration sport for the first time.
The KIYG is a team championship where individual and team tally contribute to the overall medal tally. In the last edition of KIYG, Maharashtra defended their title with 57 gold medals, 48 silver and 53 bronze, securing their fourth championship.
Only Maharashtra and Haryana have won the KIYG titles so far.
