Chain Singh got India off the mark in the ISSF World Cup 2025 Buenos Aires. He clinched the bronze medal in the men’s 50m air rifle event on Friday.
The Asian Games bronze medalist had earlier clinched a silver medal in the ISSF world cup (Grand Prix) Munich in Germany 2018 with a score of 627.9 points in the 50-meter rifle prone event.
In the process, he finished ahead of his Indian compatriot Aishwary Tomar who clinched the fourth place. He was in line for a medal initially but dropped to the fourth spot in the final-half with a score of 432.6.

Meanwhile, India’s Niraj Kumar finished at the seventh spot with 402.5.
Hungary’s Istvan Marton Peni (461.0) and China’s Jiaming Tian took the top two podium places by some distance in comparison to Chain’s final score.
Chain also has sixth South Asian Games medal to his name.
