Former SunRisers Hyderabad captain David Warner has made a bold prediction for his side against Lucknow Super Giants at the IPL 2025 on Thursday.
The IPL 2016 winner wants Abhishek Sharma to score 100 runs off 50 deliveries and Travis Head to add a half-century of 20 balls in search of 300 runs on board.
“Can Sunrisers put 300 on the board tonight?? Will be exciting to watch! AS to score 100 head 50 off 20 again,” Warner said on X.
In their last match at home, SRH put up a total of 286/7, 14 runs short of 300.
In that match against Rajasthan Royals, Sharma scored 24 off 11 deliveries while Head added 67 off 31 deliveries.
SRH’s new signing Ishan Kishan stole the show with 106 off 47 deliveries, including 11 boundaries and six sixes.
“(On playing his first game for SRH) To be very honest, the nervousness was there. I won’t deny that. But looking at the squad and looking at the team, especially Pat and the coach, they gave a lot of confidence before the game. The environment is so calm and composed, you know you just have to go in and believe in yourself like what’s supposed to be done at that point of time,” Kishan said in the post match interview.
“I just enjoyed my time in the middle. (Preparation) I got a lot of time in between, I was practising very hard, worked on my batting also. Overall, the preparation was very good. I am feeling confident. You can see Abhishek Sharma and Head going in and playing that sort of a game. Ultimately, you are No. 3 and you get the confidence. Just go in there and you get enough time to take a few balls because Head is not going to stop, Abhishek is never going to stop,” he added.
