Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has a plan to develop infrastructure in the state for Mission Olympic 2036.
In a high-level meeting with senior officials of sports department, including, Minister of State for Sports Gaurav Gautam, the CM announced that five Centres of Excellence will be set up across state universities, focusing on three disciplines.
Furthermore, the CM has directed officials to coordinate with universities for timely completion. He believes these infrastructures will further strengthen Haryana’s standard as powerhouse of sports.
“Haryana is a sports powerhouse of the country, and to further strengthen this status, athletes will be provided with the best facilities,” he said.
He also announced that the state is committed towards nurturing international-level talent, modernising stadiums, coaches appointment, sports science and nutrition facilities according to international standards.
The Centres of Excellence will be equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure to help athletes perform at their peak.
