Harvinder Singh, who made history at Paris Paralympics, by winning the first-ever gold medal in archery, praised the game’s format.

“The top 16 athletes at the national level are selected for the Khelo India Para Games… This kind of procedure and system inspires athletes to perform to the best of their abilities,” Harvinder told SAI Media.

The premier Indian para-archer had clinched a gold medal in the Khelo India Para Games 2023.

“The top 16 athletes at the national level are selected for the Khelo India Para Games… This kind of procedure and system inspires athletes to perform to the best of their abilities,” Harvinder told SAI Media.

The double Paralympics medalist said that the Khelo India Para Games system is inspiring.

“The last time when I competed in KIPG, it felt like we were in an international-level event. The set-up, schedule and arrangements were of the highest quality. Since then, I have known that India is capable of hosting any international tournament. This time around, I am expecting a similar scale and I am eager to return to the field,” Harvinder said.

Khelo India Para Games will be played in seven days, across — Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Indira Gandhi Stadium, and Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range –featuring six disciplines (archery, athletics, badminton, powerlifting, shooting and table tennis).
