Harbin 2025 Asian Winter Games: Hong Kong To Send Largest-Ever Contingent

Hong Kong, a special administrative region of China, will comprise of the largest-ever contingent for the Harbin 2025 Asian Winter Games.

The Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC), earlier this week, hosted a flag presentation ceremony for its contingent, represented by over 100 members to compete in six disciplines.

Rosanna Law, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, and LI Shuguang, Deputy Director General of the Department of Publicity, Cultural and Sports Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), officiated at the ceremony.

Law presented the regional flag of the HKSAR to Timothy Fok, President of SF&OC, Edgar Yang, Honorary Secretary General of SF&OC, Kenneth Fok, Vice-President of SF&OC and Chef de Mission of the Hong Kong, China Delegation to Harbin 2025.

“Benefiting from our country’s comprehensive winter sports facilities, and our athletes’ determination to overcome environmental challenges through rigorous training, winter sports in Hong Kong have made steady progress in recent years. I look forward to witnessing our athletes perform with excellence in the ice and snow events and showcase their remarkable talents,” Timothy FOK, President of SF&OC, said.

This edition of the Asian Winter Games will be held in Harbin, China from February 7 to 14, 2025, featuring 11 disciplines across six sports. 

This is also the first time Hong Kong athletes compete in Curling of international multi-sports games.
