Global medallists Letsile Tebogo, Kishane Thompson and Akani Simbine will renew their rivalry when the Wanda Diamond League heads to Shanghai/Keqiao on 3 May.

Botswana’s Tebogo added the Olympic 200m title to his world 100m and 200m silver medals last year. He finished sixth in the 100m final in Paris – a race in which Jamaica’s Thompson secured silver.

Simbine finished fourth on that occasion but the South African sprinted to the first global individual medal of his career at the recent World Indoor Championships in Nanjing. He will want to show similarly strong form on the Diamond League circuit.

In Shanghai/Keqiao they are set to be joined in the 100m line up by Italy’s Tokyo Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs, Great Britain’s world indoor 60m champion Jeremiah Azu, USA’s 2019 world 100m champion Christian Coleman and local favourite Xie Zhenye.
