Sports Authority Of India National Centre Of Excellence (SAI NCOE) Aurangabad athletes Dhananjay Jadhav, Kashish Bharad, Girish Jakate (Fencing) and Ajay Pendor (Boxing) were conferred with the prestigious Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Award 2023-24.

The SAI NCOE trainees received honour from Governor of Maharashtra CP Radhakrishna, in the presence of CM Devendra Fadnavis Deputy CM Shri Ajit Pawar and Sports Minister of Maharashtra Dattatre Bharne.

The state’s highest honour for athletes was also bestowed upon inline freestlye skater Jinesh Nalan. He has represented India at the Asian Games and won the national champion five times.

Nalan is currently India’s No.1 and World No.7 in his category. His coach Ashutosh Jagpat said, “Jinesh’s success is the result of years of grit, focus and silent determination. He continues to push beyond limits and stands as a role model for the next generation of skaters. This award is not just his victory — it’s a proud moment for entire Indian skating community”.

Meanwhile, Swastika Ghosh was also conferred with the honour for her outstanding achievements in table tennis.
