BWF Badminton World Rankings: PV Sindhu Drops To 19th; Lakshya Sen, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty Rise

In the lastest BWF World Rankings released on Tuesday, double Olympic medalist PV Sindhu dropped three places to the 19th spot while India’s top-ranked men’s and men’s doubles shuttlers Lakshya Sen and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty made gains.

Sindhu exited the All England Open 2025 in the first round. Meanwhile, Lakshya Sen who reached the quarter-finals of the prestigious event, gained four spots to the ninth place while Satwik-Chirag gained five spots to the fifth place.

The men’s doubles duo had to withdraw from the R16 event in the prestigious event due to an injury to Chirag.

In the women’s doubles, Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa (7) dropped two places to the seventh rank while Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand (10) gained five spots to enter the top 10 rankings.

Whereas in the mixed doubles, Shivani Gadde-Rohan Kapoor dropped one place to the seventh ranking.

Among the Malaysian players, Olympic medallists Lee Zii Jia (9) and Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik (6) slipped spots in the current rankings.
