Seasoned Indian shuttler Srikanth Kidambi entered the Malaysia Masters 2025 quarter-finals on Thursday after securing a second round win over Ireland’s Nhat Nguyen on Thursday.
Srikanth secured an easy 23-21, 21-17 victory in a match that lasted for 59 minutes.
The World No.65 will take on France’s Toma Junior Popov in the last-eight stage. Popov defeated India’s Ayush Shetty 21-13, 21-17, to reach the final eight.
Another Indian shuttler, Sathish Karunakaran, also lost 14-21, 16-21 to Toma’s brother and doubles partner Christo Popov.
In the mixed doubles, Tanisha Crasto and Dhruv Kapila into the quarter-finals after a three-game thriller 21-17, 18-21, 21-15 against r France’s Lea Palermo and Julien Maio.
Crasto-Kapila will next take on the Chinese pair of Jiang Zhen Bang and Wei Ya Xin.
