The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) has set a robust schedule for training their shuttlers, ahead of the Sudirman Cup 2025, slated to run from April 27 to May 4.
The training includes a ”Battle of Sexes” showdown where women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah take on men’s pair Kang Khai Xing-Lok Hong Quan.
The women’s doubles pair are eager to spar against the men’s doubles pair in what is set to be one of the eye-catching simulation match at the Academy Badminton Malaysia.
The Day 2 of action will also witness World No.2 Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani go toe-to-toe with newly crowned Asian champions Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik .
“This simulation is about quality practice and involving the entire squad,” said national doubles coaching director Rexy Mainaky. “Pearly-Thinaah and Tang Jie-Ee Wei will test themselves against men’s pairs — it’s all part of building confidence and readiness.”
The centralised training will conclude on Wednesday, with the team set to jet off to Xiamen on the next day.
