Double Olympic medalist PV Sindhu has started preparing for Sudirman Cup 2025.

In a video posted by the Rio 2016 silver medalist on her Instagram handle, she was seen sparring with a male counter-part. It is not known if she is still training under India’s singles coach Irwansyah Adi Pratama or moved to Prakash Padukone Academy.

“Silent determination, unstoppable impact #grindmode,” the video caption said.

Sindhu, who last won a singles title at the Syed Modi India International 2024, has started the new season with a poor note. It also looks like Sindhu has a coaching issue as she is undergoing a lean patch.

In her last three appearances — Badminton Asia Championship, Swiss Open, and All England Open — Sindhu has struggled to move past the second round.

It will be interesting to see how she performs at the mixed team event, comprising 16 nations, in Xiamen, China, from April 27 to May 4.
