Ace Indian shooters Suruchi Singh and Saurabh Chaudhary clinched the gold medal in the mixed 10m air pistol event at the ISSF World Cup 2025 Lima in Peru on Wednesday.
Suruchi Singh and Saurabh Chaudhary defeated People’s Republic of China’s Yao Qianxun and Hu Kai 17-9 in the gold medal match to make a stunning comeback after being 8-2 down.
It was the third gold for Suruchi and the fourth medal overall in the ISSF World Cup, this year.
In the qualification, Suruchi Singh (291) and Saurabh Chaudhary (289) finished second with a a combined total of 580.
Yao Qianxun (290) and Hu Kai (295) topped the qualifiers with a combined score of 585, while Manu Bhaker (295) and Ravinder Singh (284) finished fourth with a total of 579.
The duo had claimed a bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event in Buenos Aires.
Suruchi won the women’s 10m air pistol shooting events in Buenos Aires last week and in Lima on Tuesday.
Chaudhary, meanwhile, won bronze in the men’s 10m air pistol event in Lima on Tuesday to register his first individual medal at ISSF World Cups in almost three years.
