Chandigarh-based physiotherapist Dr. Guranchal Pawar has been named as medical classifier for the shooting contingent at the Khelo India Para Games 2025, which got underway in New Delhi on Friday.
She was appointed for the role by the Paralympic Committee of India. Pawar is among the two medical classifiers assigned for the shooters.
Pawar has been a part of the Zonal and National Para Shooting Competition 2023, 36th ISAS shooting competition, Germany, in 2024, and WSPS World Cup, New Delhi, 2024 as a shooting team physiotherapist.
She will be a part of the 37th ISAS 2025 International Shooting Competition in Germany after her Khelo India duties.
The Khelo India Para Games will feature some of the top Paralympians in the eight-day event.
Six disciplines will be in focus — para athletics, para archery, para powerlifting, para-badminton, para table tennis and para shooting — with 1,300 athletes set to take part.
The Khelo India Para Games will be played in three venues — Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, IG Stadium and Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range — till March 27.
