China’s Shi Yuqi will take on Taiwanese counter-part Lee Chia-Hao in the 2025 All England Open men’s singles final on Sunday.

In an all-People’s Republic of China semi-finals, the top seed and two-time Olympian Shi overcame his compatriot Li Shi Feng, clinching a  21-9, 20-22, 21-19 victory.

Shi clinched the first game by banking on his momentum while Feng returned to restore parity in a tough second game. The third game also remained neck-and-neck but Shi maintained his composure to clinch the match.

Meanwhile, his final opponent, Lee, came from a game behind to defeat Alex Lanier 19-21, 21-14, 21-17.

After losing the first game, both the shuttlers stood even at 10-10 in the second game. But Lee clinched nine consecutive points to take the second game 21-14.

The third game started in a similar fashion but Lee found his rhythm late to take the momentum away from the tenth seed.

Lanier saved four game points to avoid defeat on his All England Open debut.
