Mondo Duplantis, the two-time Olympic pole vault gold medalist, has found a new avenue for breaking records. It is the musical industry.
The Swedish-American announced his first single, Bop, which was released on February 28, with some of the biggest track & field athletes applauding him on the comment section.
The double Olympic medalist has sung the song while he has also co-written the song along with Emil Berg and Rasmus Wahlgren. His first single has been produced by Rasmus Wahlgren and Tobias Danielsson.
Incidentally, this is not the first time Duplantis has featured in any musical. He previously appeared in a Kygo music video, along with his fiance Desire Inglander. The ace pole vaulter is now upgrading himself from guest appearance to centre stage.
The Swedes has already been giving some musical chartbusters with the likes of ABBA, Avicii, and countless Eurovision bangers among those to rule the roost.
It remains to be seen if Mondo can elevate his single to top of the charts.
