Englishman Gary Hall MBE joined the Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) as its new High-Performance Director, based in Vijayanagar.

Gary brings over 22 years of experience in sports performance, having led Great Britain’s Taekwondo teams to remarkable success over the years.

Specializing in developing high-performance strategies for athletes and leading multidisciplinary teams, Gary’s understanding of athletes and passion for fostering a culture of respect, accountability, and excellence align with IIS’s mission to nurture and develop India’s sporting talent.

Now, in his new role, he is prepared to guide IIS athletes by implementing strategies to enhance performance across all levels, aiming to achieve success in the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and World Championships.

“I am delighted to be joining the team at Inspire Institute of Sport and look forward to working alongside all the athletes and the staff to drive forward an exciting positive, creative and supportive performance culture. I firmly believe that IIS athletes can become intensely competitive and add to the Indian Olympic team to deliver inspiring medal winning performances that inspire the whole nation of India to take part in Olympic Sport,” expressing his enthusiasm about joining IIS, Gary said.

Under Gary’s leadership, Great Britain Taekwondo secured 10 Olympic medals, four Paralympic medals, 37 World Championship medals, and 61 European Championship medals. He has directed high-performance teams across European, World, and Olympic stages, optimizing athlete performance through a multidisciplinary approach.
