Viren Nettasinghe, Paris 2024 Olympian, will be Sri Lanka’s only hope at the Thailand Masters 2025, slated to run from Tuesday.
The Sri Lankan flag bearer at Paris 2024 will take on Belgium’s Julien Carraggi in the Round of 32 clash at the Nimibutr National Stadium in Patumwan, Bangkok.

Nettasinghe will head into the 2025 season after winning the men’s singles gold at the Bangladesh Challenge 2024 held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium Complex in Paltan, Dhaka in December.
In 2024, he clinched a bronze medal at the 32nd Iran Fajr International Challenge before becoming the youngest Sri Lankan shuttler to qualify for the Olympic Games.
The Badminton Association Of Thailand organized event will be the fourth tournament of the 2025 BWF World Tour and a part of Thailand Masters championships since 2016.
