Malaysian men’s coach Herry IP has chalked out a gameplan for men;s doubles pair Wei Chong-Tee Kai, ahead of the 2025 Orleans Masters, starting from Tuesday.
The fifth seed will have their task cut out in their opening round match against the South Korean pair Kim Won Ho-Seo Sung Jae.
Herry has adviced the pair against Won Ho-Sung Jae against only counter-attacking style of play.
Incidentally, Won Ho-Seung Jae had defeated Thoma Junior Popov-Christo Popov of France in the German Open final on Sunday, emerging as the pair to beat at 2025 Orleans Masters.
It is going to be a close match as Wei Chong-Kai Wun are also in good form. However, attacking alone will not help, but they must be patient and counter-attack more to outsmart Won Ho-Seung Jae,” added Herry.
“Matches like this in the first round will be 50-50, and I hope Wei Chong-Kai Wun can stop the Koreans.
“Won Ho-Wei Chong are very experienced and both are equally good at attack and defence, and this makes it harder to break them. They are very efficient at changing defence into attack.
“However, they are still beatable as long as we play to our strength and don’t give them too much respect for their reputation.”
