Malaysian mixed doubles pair Goh Soon Huat and Shevon Jemie Lei are eyeing to maintain a consistent run at the 2025 Indonesia Masters, starting Tuesday after two consecutive semi-finals finish.

Soon Huat and Jamie Lei saw repeat of their fate in the first two weeks of 2025 as they were knocked out in the final four contest of the Malaysia Open and India Open.

So, is the senior pair looking to go one better?

“We would rather keep focused on being consistent,” said the Shevon said.

“I think we’ve got to believe in ourselves and be more confident when it comes to our semis matches or during crucial points.”

The World No.4 will face compatriots Hoo Pang Ron-Cheng Su Yin in the first round clash on Tuesday.

Earlier, this week they lost to China’s World No. 2 Jiang Zhen Bang-Wei Ya Xin in the India Open while in the Malaysia Open the pair were ousted by China’s top-ranked Feng Yan Zhe-Huang Dong Ping.

The mixed doubles pair are the most senior in the partnership in the World’s top 10 with Soon Huat turning 35 in June.

Shevon relied on their recovery rate, saying they’re in good condition.
