The Indian Athletics Calendar 2023 features 23 domestic tournaments, providing a chance to the young athletes to prove their mettle. The Indian Athletics Calendar 2023 will is slated to get underway with the National Cross Country Championships on January 7 at the Kaziranga National Park in Assam.
This year the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) will host the Indian Grand Prix in five legs. The first two divisions will be hosted at the LNCPE, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala while the third and fourth divisions will commence in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Meanwhile, NIS Patiala will host the final leg.
To commemorate Neeraj Chopra’s historic gold medal at Tokyo 2020, the apex body will host a javelin throw competition across states on the National Javelin Day.
The National Open Athletics Championships will commence from October 11 to 14 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
